Tiana Watkins is owner of Waters Edge Winery & Bistro, the first winery in Elizabethtown.
According to Allie Kresek, junior account executive at Hemsworth Communications, Watkins is among the 17.8% of female winemakers in the country.
“Tiana is a female business owner in the community who is a role model for future generations of women,” Kresek said.
Watkins said it all started with her and her father.
“He had a dream of opening his own restaurant,” Watkins said. “With me being a college student and graduating, it’s hard to find a job in what you went to school for and paid all that money in. So, we combined the two with the help of a family friend.”
